How Cadence handles your information, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: October 21, 2026

1. The short version

Cadence keeps your scripts on your phone. It has no account, no server of its own and no cloud. The accessibility service it needs performs the taps you set up and reads nothing on your screen. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which uses your device’s advertising identifier.

2. The accessibility service

Cadence uses Android’s Accessibility Service API for its core feature: performing the taps, swipes and holds you set up, on top of other apps, only while a script you started is running. The service also:

  • listens for the volume-down key, so you can stop a run from anywhere;
  • notices when the screen turns off or another app comes to the front, so it can stop or pause.

It does not read the content of your screen, the text you type or your passwords, and it collects or shares no data through this permission. Nothing it sees leaves your phone. Cadence asks for this permission on a separate screen, with this explanation, before it opens your settings, and you can turn it off at any time in Android’s accessibility settings.

3. Information stored on your phone

  • Your scripts: the positions, timings and settings of the targets you create, and the result of each script’s last run (duration and tap count). They are stored in the app’s private storage and are not backed up to any cloud by Cadence.
  • Your settings: theme, panel size and opacity, and similar preferences.

Scripts leave your phone only when you export them to a .cadence file yourself, to a place you choose.

4. Information collected by third parties

  • Google AdMob serves the ads in the free version. To do so it accesses your device’s advertising identifier and collects information about the ads shown and your interaction with them, your IP address (from which an approximate location can be estimated) and diagnostic information about how the ads load, under Google’s own policy. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s settings. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Cadence asks for your consent through Google’s consent form before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice later from Settings › Ad choices. How Google uses information from apps that use its services
  • Google Play Billing handles the one-time purchase of Cadence Pro. Cadence learns only whether Pro is owned; it never sees your payment details. Google Privacy Policy

Cadence contains no analytics and no crash-reporting service of its own.

5. What Cadence does not collect

  • The content of your screen, or anything you type
  • Your name, email address or any account; there is no sign-up
  • Location, contacts, photos or files

6. Your choices

  • Turn the service off: Android settings › Accessibility › Cadence, at any time.
  • Ads: Cadence Pro removes them. Your advertising identifier can be reset or deleted in your device settings.
  • Delete everything: deleting a script removes it; uninstalling Cadence removes all of its data from your phone. There is no copy anywhere else for us to delete.

7. Children

Cadence is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes to this policy

If what Cadence does with data changes, this page is updated first, with a new date at the top.
