How Devil's Sudoku handles your information, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: October 17, 2026

1. Information We Collect

Devil's Sudoku has no accounts, no sign-up and no server of its own. Your game lives on your device. The only data that leaves it is what the two services in section 4 need to do their job.

1.1 Data You Create

  • Game data: the puzzles you have played, your times, your rating, your Daily history and streak, your hints, which techniques you have met in the lessons, and your settings (theme, input options). It is stored on your device only.

1.2 Data Collected Automatically

  • Advertising identifier: the free app shows ads from Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising ID to serve and measure them. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom you are first asked for consent through Google's consent form, and you can reopen it at any time from Settings › Ad choices. You can reset or delete the identifier in your device settings (Settings › Google › Ads).
  • Purchase information: Google Play tells the app whether Remove Ads is owned on your Google account. We never see your payment card details.

1.3 Data We Do Not Collect

  • Your name, email address or any account with us
  • Your location
  • Contacts, photos, files or messages
  • Your game data: AdMob never receives your puzzles, times or rating
  • Crash reports: the app has no crash reporter

2. How We Use Your Information

  • The advertising identifier is used by Google to show and measure ads.
  • The purchase state is used to switch ads off for an owner of Remove Ads.

We do not sell your data to anyone.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your game data is stored in a database and preferences on your device. The app works fully offline except for loading ads and checking a purchase. Network requests use TLS.

If Android's backup is turned on for your device, Android may copy the app's data to your own Google account and restore it when you reinstall or change phone. That is Android's feature, under your Google account's settings; we do not receive or host that copy.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Google AdMob and the Google User Messaging Platform: ads and the consent form. How Google uses information from apps that use its services
  • Google Play Billing: the Remove Ads purchase. Google Privacy Policy

5. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access and deletion: your game data is on your device; uninstalling the app deletes it. There is no copy held by us to delete.
  • Ads: buy Remove Ads, change your consent from Settings › Ad choices (where it is offered), or reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Devil's Sudoku is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will act on it.

7. Data Retention

Your game data stays on your device until you uninstall the app.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. A change that adds a new kind of data collection will ship with an app update that tells you.
