Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Devil's Sudoku mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Devil's Sudoku is a Sudoku game that allows users to:

• Solve puzzles graded by the hardest solving technique they need, in Ranked, Precision, Daily and Practice modes
• Use hints and learn techniques from the lessons
• Follow a local rating, a Daily streak and their progress

Your rating is calculated on your device against the difficulty of the puzzles. It is not a comparison with other people and is not an official ranking of any kind.

3. Your Data

There are no accounts. Your game data is stored on your device. If you uninstall the App or lose the device without an Android backup, it is gone; keeping your device and backups safe is your responsibility.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Extract, copy or redistribute the puzzle collection
• Use automated systems to play or to interact with the ads
• Interfere with the App's ads or purchase systems

5. Ads & Purchases

Devil's Sudoku is free to use. It shows a banner ad and offers optional videos you can watch to continue after losing your last life, to earn hints or to rescue a Daily streak. Remove Ads is a single one-time purchase made through Google Play: it removes the banner and gives you those extras without a video. It is not a subscription and does not renew.

The price is shown in the App in your local currency before you confirm. Payments are processed by Google Play, and refund requests follow Google Play's refund policies. You can restore the purchase on any device signed in to the same Google account from Settings › Remove ads.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, puzzle collection, graphics and all related content, is the intellectual property of Naim Oudayet and is protected by copyright and other laws. All rights are reserved. Puzzle difficulty is assessed with the open-source Sukaku Explainer; third-party components keep their own licences, listed in Settings › Open-source licences.

7. Disclaimers & Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that puzzle ratings and par times are accurate for every player.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Naim Oudayet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of game data, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the App at any time for conduct that violates these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, through binding arbitration.
