Privacy Policy

Quran Topics is built around a simple promise: your reading is yours. Nothing leaves your device.

Last updated: 6 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Quran Topics mobile application ("the App", "we", "our") handles information. It applies to the App on Android and iOS, published by Naim OUDAYET.

Short version: The App works fully offline. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking SDKs, and no cloud sync. Everything you do in the App stays on your device.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

To make the App useful, a small amount of information is stored only on your device (in the App's private sandbox). It never leaves the device:

Uninstalling the App removes all of this data permanently.

3. Permissions Used by the App

Quran Topics requests the minimum permissions needed to function:

The App does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, calendar, SMS, call logs, or background-running permissions.

4. Network Activity

The App is designed to work fully offline. After installation, it does not require an internet connection to function. The App itself does not initiate any network calls to our servers, advertising networks, or analytics services — we operate none.

The operating system (Android or iOS) and the app store (Google Play, App Store) may make their own network requests outside of our control, for example to check for App updates. Those requests are governed by Google's and Apple's privacy policies, not ours.

5. Third-Party Services and SDKs

The App does not integrate any third-party advertising network, analytics provider, crash-reporting service, social-login provider, or marketing SDK. The libraries shipped inside the App are open-source Flutter packages used purely for local functionality (database access, on-device preference storage, file paths, localization).

6. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages and contains no advertising, in-app purchases, or links to external content. Because the App does not collect any personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

7. Data Sources and Attribution

The Quran text bundled with the App is drawn from publicly available sources, including the Tanzil project (Uthmani Arabic text in the public domain), the Al Quran Cloud API, thirteen verse translations (Sahih International for English, and one established translation for each of Arabic’s twelve other supported languages), and the Ayah Topics index published by the Quranic Universal Library. All of this material is bundled into the App at build time. These sources do not receive any data from you through the App, and the App makes no network requests to them at runtime.

8. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or process any personal data, there is nothing for us to access, export, correct, or delete on your behalf. All your data lives on your device, and you can remove it at any time by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the App or in legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted in the App's release notes.
