Terms of Service

The terms under which you may use the Quran Topics app.

Last updated: 6 May 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Quran Topics mobile application ("the App"), published by Naim OUDAYET ("we", "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

In short: The App is free, contains no advertising and no in-app purchases, works fully offline, and is provided as-is for your personal study of the Holy Quran.

1. Eligibility & Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or otherwise using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by the accompanying Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

2. License to Use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

3. Religious Content & Translations

The App contains the Holy Quran in Uthmani Arabic together with a choice of thirteen translations, organised by topic. The Arabic text is always present; the translation shown alongside it is selected by you and is independent of the App’s interface language. We have made reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of the bundled text, but the App is intended as a study aid and is not a substitute for a printed Mushaf, qualified scholarly guidance, or recognised tafsir.

Topical groupings, summaries, and category labels are editorial choices made to aid navigation; they do not represent any single school of jurisprudence and should not be treated as religious rulings (fatwa). For matters of faith, practice, or interpretation, please consult a qualified scholar.

4. Third-Party Sources

The App incorporates publicly available material:

These third-party sources retain their respective licenses and credit. Any errors introduced during compilation, normalisation, or topical grouping are our responsibility, not theirs.

5. Free of Charge & No Advertising

The App is provided free of charge. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no advertising. We may not introduce paid features in the future without notice and your explicit choice to opt in.

6. Updates & Availability

We may release updates to the App from time to time to fix bugs, add features, or improve performance. Updates are distributed through Google Play and (when available) the Apple App Store, and may be installed automatically depending on your device settings. We do not guarantee that the App will remain available on any particular store or device, or that any specific feature will be retained in future versions.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or operating system version.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Naim OUDAYET be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or use, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App, which is zero.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Naim OUDAYET from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms.

10. Privacy

Your privacy matters. The App stores its data only on your device and does not collect or transmit personal information. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable at the developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
