Nothing Vanishes Without a Trace

Every feature below is in the app today.

Deleted Messages, Still There

Unsent saves each incoming message the moment its notification arrives. When the sender deletes it for everyone, your copy stays, marked Deleted.

Every Edit, Every Version

An edited message keeps its whole history: the original text, each change, and when it happened.

Read It in Its Conversation

Tap any recovered message to open its chat right where it was, with the messages around it. Deleted messages are detected in one-to-one chats.

Photos, Videos, Voice Notes

Chat media is copied into Unsent the moment it arrives, so it survives a delete-for-everyone. Free users unlock one item at a time with a short video; Pro opens them all. Optional: it needs media access.

Search and Keep

With Pro, search everything recovered by its words, and choose how long it is kept: 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, a year, or forever.

Encrypted, on Your Phone

Messages are stored in an encrypted database on your phone and left out of phone backups. No account, no cloud copy. The network is used only for ads and Google Play purchases.

Running in Three Steps

Set it up once; it keeps working in the background.

  1. Turn On Notification Access

Unsent explains what it reads, then asks Android for access to WhatsApp’s notifications.

  2. Messages Are Saved as They Arrive

Each incoming message is copied the moment its notification arrives, with photos and voice notes if you allow it.

  3. Deleted or Edited? Still There

A deleted message stays, marked Deleted, and an edited one keeps every version.

Your Messages Never Leave Your Phone

What the app does with your data, in plain words. The full details are in the privacy policy.

Encrypted on Your Phone

Captured messages are stored in an encrypted database and left out of phone backups.

No Account, No Server

There is no server of ours. Messages, media and voice notes are never sent anywhere.

Only WhatsApp

Unsent reads notifications from WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business only; every other app is ignored.

Ads by Google AdMob

The app shows ads through Google AdMob, which collects device information. Pro removes them.

Before You Install

  • Android 11 or later, with WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business.
  • It can only save what arrives as a notification: with the chat open on screen, or its notifications off, there is nothing to save.
  • Messages that arrived before you installed it can’t be recovered.
  • A photo or video has to finish downloading before it can be kept: turn on auto-download.
