Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you use USSD Guard.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the USSD Guard mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
USSD Guard is a protection utility that:
- Detects SIM Toolkit (STK) and USSD dialogs pushed onto your screen
- Optionally dismisses unrequested dialogs automatically using Android's Back action, or the dialog's own Cancel button when Back does nothing (during the free trial or with the one-time Pro unlock). It never presses OK or Send.
- Keeps a local log of every detected popup, its text, and the action taken
- Guides you through the Android settings the protection needs
USSD Guard is an independent utility. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any mobile network operator.
3. What the App Does Not Do
- It never presses OK, Send, or any button that accepts something, and never types; therefore it cannot subscribe you to — or unsubscribe you from — anything on your behalf. Dismissal is the Back action, or the popup’s own Cancel button when the popup ignores Back.
- It cannot guarantee that every popup is caught. Device manufacturers' battery managers can suspend the service; the App warns you when that happens, but detection is best-effort.
- It does not manage your mobile plan or your operator relationship. Charges, subscriptions, and billing disputes remain matters between you and your operator; the App's log can serve as your evidence, but we are not a party to those disputes.
4. Permissions
The App requires Android's accessibility permission to see and dismiss another app's popup — the only sanctioned way Android provides for this. You grant it explicitly during setup after an in-app explanation, and you can revoke it at any time in your device's Accessibility settings. Without it, the App cannot protect you.
5. Purchases
Watching and logging is free. Automatic blocking is free for your first 14 days of protection, after which it requires USSD Guard Pro — a single one-time purchase, processed by Google Play. It is not a subscription: there is no renewal, and nothing to cancel.
The price is shown in the App before you confirm. Refund requests are handled through Google Play in accordance with Google Play's refund policies.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Redistribute modified copies of the App
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and logos, is the intellectual property of its developer, Naim Oudayet, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without prior written permission.
8. Disclaimers & Warranties
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. In particular, we do not warrant that:
- Every operator popup will be detected or dismissed
- The service will run uninterrupted on every device (manufacturer battery management varies)
- Dismissing a popup prevents every possible charge
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including operator charges or subscriptions — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for it.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. There is no subscription to cancel. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or these Terms' offered features with reasonable notice.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first.
